As you can see from the picture, it’s been decorated with the most beautiful taste and attentive mind, minimal but elegant and functional at the same time. With unique touches that make this place so special and cozy.
But that’s not all. The location. It’s on a closed road a few steps from the busy Avenida Nader, which is brimming with restaurants and bars.
So you are close to Cancun’s best nightlife (and day) but in a tranquil area. If you want to stay in Down Town Cancun, this would be totally my choice without any hesitation.

This is a very elegant apartment, a little austere for my taste, but new, and sparkling clean, equipped with all the necessary facilities to make your stay ultra-comfortable, including a private swimming pool (private for all the guests of the complex), security and a reception area.
Mind, though it’s located on the 4th floor and no elevator. Just giving you a heads up!
The location is phenomenal, in downtown Cancun, but very close to the main malls and to the bus stop to the beach. However, I would always advise getting a car rental to have the freedom to move around, even at night, without having to rely on taxis. (There´s no uber in Cancun).

The apartment is very nicely decorated with modern features; however, keep in mind it’s very tiny, like a hotel room with a small kitchen. The balcony overlooks a lovely public garden and allows plenty of light into the space.
The best Airbnb in Cancun, Puerto Juarez
Puerto Juarez has been an off-the-beaten-path area of Cancun for a while, just a fishing village with no reason for tourists to set foot on.
Not that now there is anything fancy about it. On the contrary, the area looks “a little rustic”, I have lived there for a few months.
But there are at least 2 reasons to go: to catch the ferry to Isla Mujeres and to enjoy one of the best fish restaurants in Cancun, Mar Bella.
In Puerto Juarez, you can also find El Meco, one of the two tiny and cute archeological sites in Cancun, and a few nice hotels.

Don’t drink tap water
In Cancun and all over Mexico in general, tap water is not drinkable. Make sure to carry a portable water bottle with you to refill at restaurants and your hotel. And remember to stay hydrated at all times in this tropical climate.

Don’t flaunt your wealth
Among the most important safety tips, you should avoid showing off your personal belonging especially if they are expensive, such as jewelry or high-quality tech stuff. Just be mindful and always try to blend in.
Carry some Mexican Pesos
It’s always a good idea to have Mexican Pesos, which you may be able to exchange in your bank at home.
Some shops accept US dollars, but the exchange rate will be extremely disadvantageous for you.
If you’re unable to exchange Mexican Pesos for US dollars in Cancun, you can either withdraw them from local banks’ ATMs or exchange US dollars at the banks in the city (never at the airport).
Keep an open mind
If you have never traveled abroad, you may experience culture shock. Just keep an open mind, if the service is not as fast as you are used to, or you experience some language barrier. Just take it slow and enjoy your vacation.
